Backwards?

So Amaleah came up to Luke and me the other day after dinner, while we were still finishing up, and said "You want to hear me say my memory verse backwards with my eyes closed?" Umm, yeah, go for it! Can't wait! That sounds awesome! I really and truly didn't expect what was next...she simply closed her eyes, turned around, and quoted her verse. I almost fell out of my seat laughing, it was like her first joke. She was saying "don't laugh at me, you're making fun of me!" I swore to her I wasn't; she was just so darn cute! I then explained the "joke" to her, and now she can do it to other unassuming people (who I'm sure won't find it as funny as a doting mother.)

School has been somewhat like this...one unexpected thing after another!

Uh Oh - I have to take credit for that one if it's the Romans 12:21 verse!! :) I was subbing in the class last week and working with the kids on the verse, erasing words from the board and then "testing" them to see if they could still say it! Turning around and closing their eyes was one of the "tests!" LOL I good reminder to me that I need to be careful what I'm teaching them......which reminds me, if Julia starts saying, "Johnny, Johnny, Johhny whoops Johhny as she's counting her fingers" (ahem) -- guilty on that one, too! :)

Sorry Kelly, you can't take credit for the whoop one because she's been saying it ever since her Aunt Mercy taught her!
