Until my sweet friend went and had a princess party for her little girl, complete with a real, live Cinderella and everything, who, may I add, stayed in character for almost 3 hours...seriously. Well, as the night went on, it dawned on me more and more that Julia really thought this Cinderella was real. My suspicions were confirmed when Amaleah came up to me and said, "Mom, Julia thinks she's really Cinderella!" She had told Amaleah, "At first I didn't think she was real, but now I know she's real!" And then, when Cinderella slipped off up the stairs after her final good-bye, worried Julia said, "Mom, how's she going home? Is she gonna crawl out the window?" And of course, this Cinderella must come to her birthday.
So now I don't know what to do about this sweet little cherub girl (she really looked that way tonight). I've never had this dilemma. I told Amaleah not to say anything, because I was quite enjoying this childish wonder. And now I understand in a small way why people keep that Santa secret going and going.
all I had was my phone camera, so the quality is terrible...but I just had to capture this memory. |

How precious. Love the "crawling out the window" part.
My girl had to wear her balloon ring shopping. Of course, a cashier complimented it and she proceeded to tell them that Cinderella, the real
Cinderella, gave it to her. I think we have sorta talked about it being a lady pretending, but I'm not sure they got it! :)
and your father-in-law told Amaleah, "don't ruin the magic!" the magic? can you believe he said that?
it's all fun and games until she realizes that if cinderella is real - - then so are the evil step sisters . . . :)
