It's Summer Time
In case you've been wondering what in the world I've been up to, just check out the picture. My life has been full of lovely people and their lovely children. Not just any people, mind you, but my sisters and brothers and nieces (I have nephews, but sadly they weren't here this time). My kitchen was full of Gospel conversations, baby spoons and yogurt, people nibbling on pickles, pits from fancy Spanish olives, mango pico de gallo, uncles chasing children, children chasing pets, mommies chasing babies, oh and a little boy who up and decided to potty train himself in the midst of all this...(yep, we have been diaper free for 2 weeks now! Yay!)
The last of the Newton children has finally graduated from college (way to go, Mercy!), bringing in family members from upstate New York, Tennessee, upstate Texas :), and even Mexico City. I may not have gone to bed til midnight for like two weeks straight, but it was so well worth it.
So what am I up to now? Seriously enjoying the first week of summer with my children--and I hope you are too. And to all my sweet sisters out there, please come back, and come back soon. My cute little coffee cups are lonely on the shelf, waiting to be pulled out and picked over several times a day. And I'm sure we can come up with some more books to discuss, and more ideas for loving the people in our lives.
